About the event
The roadshows are an opportunity to introduce virtual reality (VR) as a training tool for dementia caregivers. While VR has the potential to bring about many benefits for caregivers, it is a relatively new technology for much of the general public. As such, through these roadshows, we would like to support caregivers in becoming comfortable with the technology, and for the VR-SIM CARERS team to understand how VR can be leveraged as a training tool to better support caregivers.
What the roadshow entails:
- Participants are invited to test the headset, providing feedback on its comfort, controllers, volume, and video quality. This brief activity spans approximately 10 minutes.
- Participants can opt to fill out a caregiver survey, contributing valuable information for enhancing the VR training tool.
- This will help us make the changes needed to ensure that the VR training tool is as comfortable and user-friendly as possible.
