Emily is a fourth-year undergraduate student at Ontario Tech University, located in Oshawa, Ontario. She is pursuing her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, with a specialization in Public Health. Emily is passionate about making a positive impact on community wellbeing and believes the way to do this is by increasing equitable access to healthcare services and health education.
Emily is currently assisting the VR-SIM Carers initiative through evaluating the usability of VR (virtual reality) headsets. As part of her involvement, Emily actively participates in road shows, where she engages with participants by providing hands-on assistance with VR headsets. She guides participants through the VR experience while gathering valuable feedback on user-friendliness using the talk-aloud protocol.
