Dhakshi is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto Scarborough, completing a double major in human biology and population health along with a minor in psychology. With a strong interest in knowledge translation and mental health, Dhakshi is passionate about creating innovative visual tools that make scientific knowledge more accessible to the general public.

Since joining the VR-SIM Carers initiative, Dhakshi has made meaningful contributions through her work in thematic data analyses of transcripts, script translation and knowledge mobilization of manuscripts into digestible material. She offers hands-on assistance with the VR headsets all while engaging with participants during on site orientations. Dhakshi aims to seek out crucial information about the development, user experience and overall results of the project in the hopes of informing the public. She also supports manuscript writing and assists with knowledge mobilization events.
